For Black Friday I’ve created a special new CLASS WAR mirror. For today, 50% proceeds of these mirrors will go to Camp Parkview (20% proceeds after today).
Camp Parkview is a week-long sleep away camp for Adults with Developmental Disabilities who live all over the Northwest. Camp Parkview prides itself on being an accepting place for all who want to spend time there, and no camper is turned away for lack of funds. Camp Parkview needs help more than ever for sustainability, as the last two years they have offered all virtual and day programs free of charge.
Parkview also has an affordable housing program that provides sliding scale rentals to extremely low-income people with disabilities where the rent is capped at 30% of the residents income no matter how low.
In a world that too often sees folks with DD’s as invisible, Camp Parkview is providing community, friendship, and individuality to the people it serves. And with Covid-19 having an increased impact on people with DD’s due to cancelled special Olympics, limited visits to group homes, etc. Camp Parkview provides compassion and friendship that is so needed through these long, dark two years and I’m so honored to get the chance to raise awareness (and hopefully some funds) for the amazing work they do.
